Temporary Construction
Ponds
In particularly dry areas of the
USA and in other foreign countries, construction dust can be a
very significant problem. The fine particulate matter
can cause extreme breathing difficulties for many residents.
Arizona
and federal law require permits for earth moving at
construction sites, which include plans to control dust
emissions. Control measures include such simple practices as
watering down construction and demolition sites, as well as
preventing dust from being tracked out onto adjacent roads.
Building a large pond on the
construction site, from housing developments to inner city building,
is the most convenient and cost protective way to keep and
hold water for the watering trucks to fill their tanks.
We recommend using a
custom fabricated liner in your temporary construction pond.
These liners can be
fabricated into very large one piece panels and can be
installed by your workers or our professional installers in
just a couple of hours depending
on the size and thickness of the liner. These liners can
last from 6 months to 2 years depending on the thickness
you choose, keeping in consideration the longevity of your
project. Most temporary construction pond liners are fabricated with either a
scrim reinforced
fabric or plain sheeting polyethylene. Fabrication time
is generally 1-4 days.
