Use:
Seal-It moldable MS40 is conformable watertight adhesive sealant
tapes,
which can be utilized
for seaming, sealing and attaching Polypropylene, Hypalon,
PVC, EPDM, rubber, most Geotextiles, GCL's, Aluminum, Steel, Fiberglass,
concrete, and many other materials. It is primarily used as a
gasket material or for joining dissimilar materials. These Seal-It
tapes are perfect for attaching vapor barriers to concrete stem walls. Seal-It
will provide an excellent seal on Clay Liners in landfill
applications. This sealant will not dry, crack or harden. Must be kept UV protected.
Composition:
This tape is a 100% solids formulation of thermoplastic elastomeric and synthetic
resins. The adhesive is kept permanently bonded to its backing (while in
roll form) by a tough, easily removed polymer release liner. The liner
prevents contamination of the adhesive prior to its use. MS40 is available in 40 mils.
Surface Preparation: Surface
must be clean and dry. Moisture, dust, rust, aquatic growth, oil, wax,
silicone and any foreign substance that may interfere with adhesion should be
removed with a suitable detergent, rinsed thoroughly and dried. We do not
recommended the use of solvents as they may leave a residue that can impede
adhesion. On tape that has been shrink wrapped, the wrap should be cut
around the circumference of the roll. Remove the desired amount of tape,
leaving the shrink wrap on the sides to protect the adhesive from
contamination. Tape can be cut with knife or scissors and should be cut to
length before release liner is removed.
Place material being repaired or seamed on firm flat surface, center tape over
area to be applied. Remove the release liner from tape in short sections
and apply with firm pressure. THIS TAPE STICKS INSTANTLY and very
aggressively on most materials, so be sure you are properly aligned before
contact. On long seams, a line drawn with a straight edge will help keep
the tape straight. A roller may be used but usually not necessary.
Application Instructions:
Remove
the release liner on one side of the Seal-It and apply to the properly
prepared surface. The remaining release liner can be utilized as an
aid while molding the product until all voids and crevices have been filled,
then remove the remaining release liner and apply to target surface.
Priming: Priming is not
normally required, but under extreme cold conditions, Seal-It Prime will
greatly increase adhesion on most materials. Priming will also greatly
increase adhesion on surfaces that are difficult to properly prepare. Do
not exceed 200 F. Priming is not recommended on
PVC.
Materials: Seal-It
MS30, MS40 & MS60 tapes can be applied to a wide variety of materials including PVC, Polyethylene,
Polypropylene, Hypalon, Fiberglass, Steel, Aluminum, Concrete, Asphalt, Rubber
(some rubber products require special cleaning). Not recommended
for Cotton Duct, Cordura or long term exposure to Hydrocarbons.

Geosynthetic Materials

Geo25 Gray &
Black
Basic
Use:
Seal-It
GEO25 Tape is designed to provide an air, vapor, and
watertight seal on many Geomembranes and Geotextiles.
These tapes feature a very aggressive synthetic
adhesive that bonds instantly, and is ideal for
repairing tears, seaming, reinforcing and attaching
Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, Hypalon, EPDM,
Rubber and more.
Its
unique film backing has been specially formulated to
provide strength that allows it to be pulled tightly
for max conformability.
GEO25
Tape is resistant to direct UV rays, thermal
expansion, impact, abrasion and punctures. Seal-It
GEO25 can be applied over a wide range of ambient
temperatures and can also be applied to steel,
aluminum, fiberglass, concrete and many other
materials. GEO25 is not recommended for cotton
duct or Cordura Nylon.

HV Tape
White, Black Gray
Basic
Use:
Seal-It HV35
& HV50 are heavy duty versions of our popular
GEO25 tape. Both of these tapes feature the same
tough UV resistant backing, combined with an
aggressive synthetic elastomeric adhesive, with the HV
series having a much thicker layer of adhesive for
rough surfaces such as concrete. HV50 has in
addition a thicker backing for heavy-duty use when
extra strength is required along with more
puncture and abrasion resistance, while
providing the elasticity required to compensate for
thermal expansion and contraction. GEO25, HV35
& HV50 are all designed for long term below or
above ground use, and will give many years of service
even in direct sunlight. This tape can be applied over
a wide range of ambient temperatures and will adhere
to Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, EPDM, Rubber,
Hypalon, Steel, Aluminum, Fiberglass, Concrete and
many more materials.
