Athletic Field Cover

PLAY BALL! Did you know how important it is to protect your athletic fields during bad weather? Football, baseball, soccer, even golf courses often require tarps, covers, and liners. This is not only to preserve the field for play, but also to preserve the venue itself for fundraising and other community uses as well. The elements such as sun, rain, and snow can be very damaging to a well-manicured field. Athletes’ cleats can also cause tremendous damage. Investing in an appropriate tarp or cover is a small price to pay to preserve your field’s integrity.

Here are a few options:

  • FULL TARP: meant to cover the entire field, a full tarp keeps the entire infield area dry. Full tarps are meant for short-term use only to prevent damage to the grass due to heat buildup.
  • SKIN TARP: covers only the infield skin and protects it for as long as you need it. Skin tarps are not used to cover grass but can remain in place indefinitely.
  • AREA TARP: used to cover home plate areas, mounds, bullpens, etc. These are mostly used for rain protection and/or moisture control in specific areas.
  • SIDELINE TARP: meant to be used in high-traffic areas such as the sidelines or baseball infield, these tarps protect the field from cleats and heavy use.
